Joe was born in Springfield, Illinois, on November 8, 1951. His family moved to Houston, Texas, when he was 10. By the age of 15 Joe was learning the mechanics of a motorcycle from Delbert “Pappy” Lee. Joe had helped build a Volkswagon Trike, Indian Trike, English Ford 4 Cylinder Trike a 45 flat head solo, and a 61 Panhead EL, by the age of 18. At the age of 21 he moved to Berlin, Illinois, where he currently resides. Joe has always had a love for motorcycles, but even more, a love for building motorcycles. Pictured are a couple of his most recent designs. He has four sons, all of which inherited a love for motorcycles.
